Dear SJ fans,
You will be delighted to know that we have been able to trace out whereabouts of family of Shanker ji (of Shanker-Jaikishen) in Hyderabad when Shankar Jaikishan Fans Association International at Hyderabad founded by Lakshmi Kanta Tummala and friends organized a musical tribute programme named Shankar Jaikishan ke Sangeet ka Jashn in the city. Lakshmi ji took time to meet the family at their place. And there several myths of Shankerji’s origin and birthplace will be cleared in later phase. Dear SJ buddies,
It is my pleasure to introduce you to Sri. Shankar’s niece Smt. Janaki Anella and her family. This very simple and modest family share their high moral values with their late ancestor who led an exemplary life. They expressed their love and admiration for their famous relative who was the most loving, generous and kind person around. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone and every one in need. RIP Shankar.

I shd admire Lakshmi ur untiring efforts, which comes from within for no gains, devoting ur valuable time and energy for SJ, who will be obliged to u from their place in universe…..Ham to jate apne gaon, sabko raam raam raam, apni raam raam raam.
The introduction of family members and his father’ photo for members and public as a whole in unbeatable contribution and a matter of satisfaction for us, who were more than curious to know about Shankarji’s family members. I think ur contribution will go into the history, whenever, there will be a great remembrance of his kins by the curious SJ fans. We as great fans of SJ have great words of obligation……..because kal khel mein ham hon na hon, gardish mein tare rahenge sada, rahenge yehin apne nishan, iske sive jaana kahan……Our pranam to Shankarji kins, as they deserve a prestigious place in hearts of us all.

I am really indebted to Res. Laxmiji, for posting a photograph and few lines on Shankarji (of Shankar Jaikishan). In fact most of the SJ fans may have same feelings, because after sad and sudden demise of Shankarji, except one or two post were available on SJ INTERVIEW on U Tube (one was posted by Sudhakar Sharmaji).
I am eagerly waiting some more information from Res. Laxmiji.

As ardent fans of SJ, we should and must do everything in our capacity to get any info of interest related to them. At the same time, out of respect to the them, we should not be delving into their personal lives.

Shankerji gave shelter (some say married) a widow named Kunda, who had two sons from her previous husband. Shanker ji did not have any issue from his blood.

Chaitanya is now known as Chetan Jaikishan. We don’t have any information about him and Jaikishan’s family lives in Mumbai. I will upload Jaikishen’s sister very soon. She is no more now.

Happy to learn about shankarj’is family. Though i don’t discriminate Between shankar and Jaikishan. After death of Jay media started as if jay was only talent and shankarji was not so. It pains me much. If tunes composed by the duo are separated composer wise people will come to know what shankarji was in the field of music

I believe that Shankerji was a hard worker with decipline. Also believe that image of SHANKER-JAIKISHAN ,their is lotof dedication from SHANKAR.So it is highly unjustyfy for Shanker by us.though I lover of Jaikishan I salute both greatmen.but Shankarji also the great that I analisie after long time

dubbed in Telugu as Premalekhu film,
while tamil film was Avan

Shankar ji Harmonium was donated in Pune by his son or say step son am I correct

It was not harmonium, but piano was
donated in very very bad condition by Shanker ji’s step grandson.
